If you take the time to look at these sites, many of them actually want you to pay them to send you free work at home information, or they want you to pay an astronomical fee to join some kind of work at home club or association. When a website asks you to pay for information, chances are you are better off avoiding it and moving on, as it very well could just be a scam, a way for someone else to profit from your hard earned money.

Another thing to be careful with is your email. If you start receiving hundreds of offers for work at home jobs everyday, offers that you have not requested, then they are also likely scams. You can block many of these offers by downloading a free spam filter, so that you never even have to look at them.
